Year in review: Flanders Foal Auction 2025
With the turn of the year approaching, the time has come to look back on an exceptional auction season. After breaking all our records in 2024, 2025 raised the bar even higher.
This success, however, was not achieved alone. Breeders entrusted us with their very best foals and embryos and buyers from all over the world showed great confidence. Our sincere thanks also go to everyone who contributed behind the scenes to making this auction season such a success.
In 2026, we will kick off with the Flanders Embryo Auction on January 23 in Abu Dhabi (our 9th auction in the Emirates), followed one month later by our very first auction in Oliva, Spain. We look forward to seeing familiar faces again in the new year and, of course, to welcoming many new ones. Met de jaarwisseling in zicht is ook het moment aangebroken om eens terug te blikken op ons bijzondere veilingjaar. Nadat we in 2024 al onze records hadden verbroken, deed 2025 er weer een schepje bovenop.
Maar, dit deden we niet alleen. Fokkers hebben hun beste veulens en embryo’s aangemeld, kopers vanuit de hele wereld hadden er alle vertrouwen in. Dank gaat ook uit naar iedereen de rondom de veilingen een bijdrage heeft geleverd aan dit succesvolle seizoen.
In 2026 gaan we van start met de Flanders Embryo Auction op 23 januari in Abu Dhabi (onze negende veiling in de Emiraten), om een maand later – voor het eerst - in het Spaanse Oliva te veilen. 1. In 2025, we sold 167 out of 180 auctioned foals
2. That’s an impressive sales percentage of 92.8%
4. The average price per foal was € 26.550 (in 2024 € 24,705)
5. We organized 4 embryo auctions. 88 of the 98 embryos were sold (90%)
6. The average price of an embryo was €22.430 (in 2024 €20,620)
