From auction foal to Saint-Tropez star

From the Flanders Foal Auction ring to the podium in Saint-Tropez, Rossi vd Heffinck (Diamant de Semilly x Caretino) continues to write an impressive story.

The nine-year-old BWP stallion delivered another outstanding performance two days ago, finishing second in the CSI5* 1.60m Grand Prix of Gassin–Saint-Tropez with Irish rider Mark McAuley.

For Flanders Foal Auction, this result carries an extra special meaning. Rossi was presented as a foal at the 2017 Flanders Foal Auction, where he was sold for €17,000. Fast forward nine years, and that promising foal is now competing among the world's best at the highest level of show jumping.

His second-place finish in Saint-Tropez marks another exciting milestone in Rossi's development and a wonderful reminder of the journey that can begin in the Flanders Foal Auction ring.
