Flanders Foal Auction and Holger Hetzel continue successful partnership at Young Horse Masters
"Holger Hetzel stands for quality, quality, quality and that is exactly what Flanders Foal Auction represents as well. We are delighted with our excellent partnership and proud to organise a Flanders Foal Auction during Holger's Young Horse Championships for the fifth consecutive year on 25 July," said Luk Van Puymbroeck during the press conference for the Tiemeyer x Hetzel Young Horse Masters.
Representing Flanders Foal Auction at the press conference, held on Tuesday 7 July at the luxurious The Wellem Hotel in Düsseldorf, were Luk Van Puymbroeck, Gerald Lenaerts, Mark Oude Griep and Wendy Scholten.
During the event, Holger Hetzel revealed several impressive figures for this year's edition of the Tiemeyer x Hetzel Young Horse Masters. More than 350 horses from Germany and abroad have been entered, an increase of 100 compared to last year. Competitors will be vying for a total prize fund of €200,000. Grooms of medal-winning horses will receive special awards.
Hetzel also looked back on the success of last year's Flanders Foal Auction. Two foals he and Uwe Smits purchased during the auction were later offered at his annual Holger Hetzel Sport Horse Sales. Together, they generated an impressive €98,000, with the entire proceeds donated to the RTL charity initiative Wir helfen Kindern ("We Help Children").
This year's Flanders Foal Auction, taking place on 25 July during the Young Horse Masters, is once again expected to attract significant interest. There is every chance that another foal will be purchased for the same charitable purpose, continuing a partnership that combines top sport, outstanding breeding and social responsibility.
Luk Van Puymbroeck: "We’ve done our very best once again. We say it every year, but we truly mean it: this year’s foal collection is even better than in previous editions."
