A flying start to 2026 for the Flanders references

The new year started strong for the Flanders references in Wellington, where Quinci Quality (2016, by Cornet Obolensky) jumped to an 8th place at 1.45m level under J. Torano (USA). Also across the Atlantic, in Ocala, Kawir MS (2016, by Comme Il faut) delivered an impressively consistent month with Jared Petersen (USA). Multiple top-10 finishes at 1.40m and 1.45m level, including 6th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th placings.

Meanwhile in Doha at Al Shaqab, Kalliope LVP Z (2017, by Kannan) impressed with a 2nd place in the 1.35m and a powerful 3rd place in the 1.50m Puissance class under Mustafa Saed (EGY), earning a total of €3,200. Competing at 1.50m level at just nine years old highlights the quality that started in our auction ring.

In Opglabbeek, Cantalito GK Z (2018, by Canturano I) claimed victory in the 1.30m class with Laurens Meynaerts (BEL), while in Oliva, Nibali (2018, by Casallo Z) stood out with two victories (1.35m and 1.40m level) and an additional second place under Mariano Martínez Bastida, collecting over €3,600 in prize money.

Oliva also brought strong 1.50m results for Kameroen EB Z (2014, by Kannan) with Leonie Peeters (BEL), finishing 11th and 7th, while in Kronenberg, Graal un Prince (2016, by Kannan) secured 5th place at 1.45m level under Matheus Ferreira Gomes Correa (BRA), earning €2,256.

The month concluded back in Doha, where Empire SBK Z (2016, by Elvis ter Putte) added another international placing at 1.40m level with Rikke Belinda Barker (DEN).

From the United States to Qatar and across Europe, January 2026 demonstrated depth, consistency and progression up to 1.50m level. And if this is how the year begins, 2026 promises much more to come.
