Maikel van der Vleuten's new 'Verdi' sold at Flanders Foal Auction

In the news last Friday: Maikel van der Vleuten takes over the reins of 'new Verdi'. Horses.nl wrote about the new mount of Maikel: the 8yo BWP approved stallion O'Bailey van het Brouwershof (Darco). One year ago father Eric van der Vleuten said that his horse can be the new Verdi! And we know this boy, because we sold him as a foal in one of our auctions for 12.000 euro.

"He is very comfortable to ride, careful and has all the scope", Eric van der Vleuten tells. “Most of what a top horse needs, he has. And for the rest, time will tell."

O'Bailey is bred out of the damline of the famous broodmare Opaline des Pins, dam of the 1.60m GP horses Jus de Pomme (Olympic champion with Ulrich Kirchhoff), Shogoun II, Quintus, Richebourg and Tresor d'Opaline.
